These earrings are very artistic and earthy/natural looking. Picture Jasper Love-knot Teardrop earrings have been made by Jim in our studio in Ohio.

Picture Jasper is the last stone mentioned in the Bible in the High Priest's breastplate (Exodus 28:20). It comes from the Hebrew word yashpheh (Strong's #H3471).
Yashpheh is translated as "jasper" in Exodus 28:20 and Ezekiel 28:13 in all ten of the Bible translations used in this series. In the New Testament, the first foundation stone in the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:19) is called the Greek iaspis (Strong's #G2393).
In the Bible: Jasper symbolizes the glory of God; His splendor, brightness, magnificence, and beauty. It symbolizes the blood atonement we have through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the passing over of God's judgment.
Japer is a petrified or silicated mud that dripped into gas pockets in molten lava. It became superheated and then solidified forming the unusual banded patterns which are typical of this stone.
Picture Jasper primarily comes from Idaho and Oregon. It formed when mud rich with quartz oozed and dripped into pockets of gas formed by molten lava. The heat from the exposure turned the mud solid almost instantly. Therefore, Picture Jasper is actually petrified or silicified mud.
